Creekview Aeronautics has qualified for the Team America Rocketry Contest National Finals for the 9th year in a row! Captained by Braden Dodge, the qualifying team members include Warren Teachworth, Aiden McChesney, Kennedy Hugo, Chris Youngblood, Ryan Lamazarez, and Elijah Alcivar. Creekview was one of the top 100 teams this year out of a pool of over 800 registered teams nationwide. This year’s STEM challenge required teams to build rockets capable of carrying 2 eggs to a target altitude of 800 feet and return them unbroken in a flight window of 41-43 seconds. Creekview hosted several area teams including Woodstock, Forsyth Central, and the brand new program at Creekland Middle School. The Creekland Team also qualified one of their teams and join Creekview as the only qualifying teams from Georgia this year. That team is mentored by Creekview’s Braden Dodge, who is helping to establish the program at Creekland as part of his senior project.
Congratulations to these students!
