CCSD Begins Kindergarten, New Student Registration for 2023-24 School Year ParentVUE logo

The Cherokee County School District is beginning kindergarten and new student registration for the 2023-24 school year with a new online registration system.

The Synergy system is easy to use and similar to the previous Gateway system that CCSD parents with older children have used.  Beginning March 7, parents of any student who will be new to CCSD for the 2023-24 school year can enter information and upload documents to complete the registration process online.  Parents are asked to complete this process by May to ensure as smooth an enrollment as possible.  Parents whose children already are enrolled in CCSD in grades K-12 do not need to complete this process.

CCSD Pathway Profiles - General Automotive Technology CHS Auto (8)

This week’s CCSD Pathway Profile focuses on General Automotive Technology, which is offered at Cherokee High School and Sequoyah High School.  Another automotive program, Transportation: Collision Repair - Painting and Refinishing, is offered at Etowah HS.  The Cherokee County School District offers 38 Career Pathway high school programs, which provide students with a wide selection of job exploration and preparation electives.  Through CCSD Pathway Profiles, we regularly share highlights with you from one of these programs …

The Cherokee County School District is kicking off its month-long celebration of the importance of literacy!

Every March, CCSD celebrates literacy beginning with Read Across America Day, a nationwide reading event that coincides with renowned children’s book author and illustrator Dr. Seuss’s March 2 birthday.  CCSD’s Office of Curriculum & Instruction coordinates the campaign, which supports the statewide Get Georgia Reading initiative and CCSD’s continued focus on improving literacy.
