Summer School

CCSD High School 2021 Summer School will be offered from June 3-23, 2021 with options for Credit Recovery and Initial Credit as detailed below.  

In addition to offering courses for students who need to retake classes not passed during the regular school year, Personal Fitness and Health courses will be offered to rising ninth-graders for initial high school credit.  Courses will be held online and in person.  Registration begins May 3 using this link: Summer School Registration 20-21

Credit Recovery      

  • Facilitated by a certified teacher
  • Face to Face Credit Recovery at Etowah and Cherokee daily (9:00am-1:00pm)
  • Fully Digital Credit Recovery classes with face to face teacher support (9:00am-1:00pm)
  • Students may register for a maximum of 2 courses.  The first class can be done in person or virtually.  The second course will be virtual. 
  • The cost is $50 per class/half unit of credit.
  • Registration is due by May 26, and payment is due by May 28.

Initial Credit for Personal Fitness and Health    

Cherokee County School District will offer an opportunity for rising ninth-graders to take Personal Fitness (in person; 9:00am-1:00pm) at two locations: Cherokee HS (for Cherokee, Creekview and Sequoyah students) and Etowah HS at Etowah East (for Etowah, River Ridge and Woodstock students).  Health will be an online course and will be facilitated by a certified teacher.  The cost is $200 per class/half unit of credit.  Registration and payment will be online only.  Registration and payment is due by May 26.
