Arnold Mill Elementary School students are enjoying a new playground at the school this week, thanks to the hard work of its PTA! PTA leaders and school administrators cut the ribbon Monday morning on the school's new $70,000 playground, which was a top priority for PTA fundraising this year. They reached their goal and were able to get the playground installed ahead of schedule. All 800 Arnold Mill students surrounded the playstructure Monday morning for a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, during which Principal Daniel Fuller thanked the PTA for its efforts and ensured the students that every class would get an opportunity to try out the new playground that day. School Board Chair Kyla Cromer attended the event and congratulated the school and PTA for its hard work. Playground construction at CCSD schools is funded largely through fundraising, with PTAs leading the way. Mr. Fuller and PTA President Robin Schorr then cut a ceremonial red ribbon and declared the playground open for business!
