The Cherokee County School District will hold its annual Consolidated LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP) Review Stakeholder meetings later this month.
Under authorization of the Every Student Succeeds Act, CCSD, as a Local Educational Agency (LEA), is provided federal funds for initiatives designed to meet the educational needs of eligible students.
Each year, as part of the funding application process, CCSD is required to complete a District Comprehensive Needs Assessment to examine the systems and structures that are in place to sustain improvement in student academic achievement, as well as detail how the district will serve various populations of students (economically disadvantaged, disabled, limited English proficient, homeless, etc.).
These policies and plans are reviewed by teachers, administrators, students, parents and other stakeholders through a process called “Consolidated LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP) Review.” CCSD will hold CLIP Parent Review meetings at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on May 17, 2022 at the Dr. Frank R. Petruzielo Educational Services Facility auditorium at 1205 Bluffs Parkway in Canton.
