A member of Cherokee County School District’s Class of 2020 has earned a college scholarship from a CCSD community partner!

Creekview High School graduating senior Siena Cook has won a $2,500 scholarship awarded by East West Bank.  The scholarship was open to one graduating senior from Creekview HS and awarded based on an application, essay questions and references.  Alisha Fulcher, First Vice President, Southeast Specialty Deposit Team Manager for East West Bank, and her team arranged for the scholarship.

Siena will attend the University of Georgia to study biology.  She is a longtime participant in Creekview’s marching band and has served as drum major for the last two years.  Siena also is a member of the National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and Beta Club, and works part-time for Chick-fil-A.  An AP Scholar and Superintendent’s Key Scholar, she has earned an academic letter, Lamp of Knowledge award, and Georgia Certificate of Merit.

“I always try my best in everything I do,” Siena wrote in her application.
