Congratulations to Cherokee County School District’s elementary school State Science Fair champions!

Eight elementary school students from CCSD placed at the Third Annual Georgia College K-5 State Science Fair, which was held before the school closures in Milledgeville.  All of the students who advanced to the State competition after regional success are from Clark Creek Elementary School STEM Academy.

“What an outstanding accomplishment for each of these students and their teachers and Clark Creek as a whole,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower.  “We’re so proud of you for exploring science and doing so with such dedication and enthusiasm.”

Fifth-graders Lexi Johnson and Juliette Kvenild each earned first place for their entries.  Second-place honors were won by first-grader Hailey Holton, fourth-grader Mary Huffman and the team of fifth-grader Sydney Smerker and fourth-grader Naomi White.  Two students earned third-place awards: fourth-grader Grayson Mirabelli and first-grader Rishabh Pandya.
