CCSD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower talks with Little River ES Principal Matt Freedman, right, and technology teacher Samantha Westerlind about the new features of the lab, which was funded by the school's PTA.
Little River ES unveiled its technology lab makeover this week, giving PTA officers and a few students a sneak peek at the colorful new room with work stations, new furniture and fun features like LED light strips and gaming themes. The Little River PTA raised funds for the lab re-do, which features flexible seating and tables with different height options, allowing students to work collaboratively on technology projects in a choice of settings ranging from high top tables to couches.
"I love the bright colors of the furniture and the décor," said technology teacher Samantha Westerlind. ”I can't wait to continue to add to this room so it helps my students become more innovative and creative learners!"
