River Ridge High School junior Sathvika Narasimhan has earned a National honor for her achievements in computing.
She recently was presented the National Center for Women & Information Technology's Award for Aspirations in Computing at a ceremony held at Georgia Tech.
The award honors women in grades 9 through 12 who are active and interested in computing and technology, and encourages them to pursue their passions.
Recipients are chosen for their demonstrated interest and achievements in computing, proven leadership ability, academic performance, and plans for post-secondary education.
Sathvika will be recognized by the Cherokee County School Board and Superintendent of Schools at the School Board’s May 16 meeting.
