It’s National School Psychology Week – thank you to all of the school psychologists who support our students!
This year’s theme is “Together We Shine,” which celebrates the power of our collective efforts to ensure that all students can thrive in school, at home and in life.
Twenty-nine school psychologists serve CCSD students, from preschool through high school.
Their numerous roles include evaluating student needs to help develop educational and behavioral support plans, counseling and other interventions. School psychologists consult with teachers and school staff and parents to support students who are struggling, whether with academic, behavioral or social difficulties. They participate on school student support teams with teachers, administrators and parents and serve as a liaison between CCSD, families and community agencies that provide mental health services.
