Cherokee County School District is on a mission to become the highest performing school district in Georgia! Our team of dedicated professional educators and support staff goes above and beyond to ensure that students are learning more, growing more and achieving more on our watch than they could anywhere else.   Our School Board has set clear goals for student achievement in ELA, math and reading over the next three years, and we are on a path to exceed those goals.  We will accomplish our mission through deliberate action and a culture of support and accountability.  In CCSD, our School Board defines accountability as having clear goals for student learning and when we meet those goals, we celebrate.  When we fall short of meeting those goals, we have the professional skills to adjust our practices in order to improve outcomes for all students.  Stay connected to our journey as we report our progress on this page with regular updates throughout the year.
