1/21/21 CCSD Message: Reopening of Schools on Jan. 25 CCSD_Identity_stacked_CMYK

On behalf of the Superintendent, please be advised that all CCSD schools will reopen for in-person learning on Monday, Jan. 25.  

Thank you for your patience during our temporary closure as we worked to return staffing levels to our operational needs.  Thank you to our teachers and support staff for their outstanding work to continue providing engaging instruction and services to students.

February 8-12 - Canned Food Drive

What: Food Drive sponsored by Bascomb’s Junior Beta Club

When: the week of Feb. 8-12

Where: Donation bins will be in entry way (by the office) and in the bus arrival area

What is needed: soups, mac and cheese, instant oatmeal, jelly, peanut butter, fruit cups, canned meats, canned beans, boxed pasta, rice, canned tomato sauce, canned vegetables, and canned fruit

Why: We are helping Must Ministries replenish their pantry.  Must Ministries has distributed over 1.7 million pounds of food since March of 2020.  The need is greater than ever.

Save the Date! The Cherokee County School District’s annual Job Fair will be a virtual event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 6. The event will focus on hiring teachers, bus drivers, school nurses and School Nutrition workers for the 2021-22 school year. On behalf of the Superintendent, this message is to advise you of changes to schoolwide communications.

All CCSD schools now are using the Canvas system for sending all schoolwide emails.  This is separate from the School Messenger system for CCSD emergency notifications.  In order to receive emails from your school, such as Principal newsletters and other important news specific to your child’s school, please be sure to set up a Canvas parent account if you have not already done so.  If you already are receiving emails through Canvas from your child’s teacher (the email will have the Canvas icon at the bottom), then you have set up a parent account and don’t need to take additional steps.  If you need to set up a Canvas parent account, please follow the instructions at
