Good Afternoon RedHawk Nation,

The hard work and accomplishments of our students and staff continued through the weekend!

First, congratulations to all the students who participated in the 4th annual Clark Creek Science Fair!  Competition amongst the 56 classroom winners was very close, as finalists were chosen by a panel of community partners who judged the event.  We are thrilled to announce that 13 students are eligible to move on to the regional competition, which will be February 8, 2020.  This is the first time we have participated in regionals! Word of the Week: Commitment – Being dedicated to a cause or activity.

Our character words are important for Red Hawks to not only know but also exhibit inside and outside of school. The Atohi tribe shows commitment while working in our school garden. They work all year long to take care of the fruits and vegetables that will make their way into the hands of our very own RedHawks!

Our photography company, GCI, has provided our students with holiday magnets and wallet-size photographs. If you would like to purchase these photographs, please enclose your $12 payment in the envelope provided and return it to school.  If you do not wish to purchase this product, simply return it to school. Enjoy!

Looking into the new year, we noticed that there are is only one slot filled for ice cream volunteers in 2020.  Please consider volunteering to help with this as the students look forward to having ice cream.  You can sign up here:  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0b4aaaae2aa31-icecream2

From the cafeteria:  please take care of debts.  Students who have outstanding debts will receive an alternative meal and be charged .75.  Please call Ms. Linda Page, Manager with any questions about your child’s account or if you would like to contribute to our Lunch Angel program to assist our students. Watch for emails and charge letters being sent home with students about any outstanding debts.  Thank you for your help!

Lots of information from Music! Please support the music program here at Clark Creek and join Mrs. Knuchel @Chick-fil-A TOWNE LAKE!  There will be a mystery musical challenge, and any student who successfully completes the challenge will win points for their tribe!

From PTA:

All students will have the opportunity to shop during school hours between Monday, December 9th and Friday, December 13th.  We are still in need of volunteers and would love for you to join us in helping them find and purchase gifts for family and friends!!  You can even volunteer during your student's shopping time (day/time to be sent by your student's teacher).  Sign up here:

Join us on Tuesday, December 10th between 6-8pm for some holiday fun, it's FREE!!  There will be cookie decorating, pictures with Santa, and the Holiday Shop will be open to find gifts for your family and friends!!  There are limited slots left to reserve your time for Santa pictures. Please use the link below to sign up!  Don't worry, walk-ins will be accommodated between appointments as time allows.  Be sure to bring your own camera!!

Don't forget to redeem your sign announcement(s) that were included in your PTA membership package.  If you have not yet ordered one, you still can!  Use the link below to order.  Signs can be displayed on any date of your choice, but a board member can only edit/add new signs during school hours.  Please keep this in mind with the upcoming extended holiday break as the school will be closed and no signs will be added during that time (but can be set up in advance with proper notice).  https://clarkcreekpta.memberhub.store/

Save the date for the SPARKLES Spirit Night on January 9th!!

Please confirm directly with your child’s Homeroom teacher for details regarding any “special” events or treats for the last week of school.

PLEASE CHECK LOST AND FOUND:  Please remember to label all coats, hats, and gloves, which are important items for your child to have as we try to go outside every day as long as it’s not raining or just too cold. If you need to take a look for missing items near our cafeteria, please check-in at the front office first.  We will be donating all remaining items to charity on Thursday, December 19th.

It’s PJ Time on Friday, December 20th for our last day of school before our Holiday break.  Send kids to school in PJ’s and call it a day!  Just keep in mind, dress code with length still applies.  No slippers, because kids still will go outside, weather permitting.

Ongoing reminder:  There will be no ASP on Friday, December 20th.   We are providing you this information early to help you plan on alternative childcare options for this day.  If your child attends ASP on Fridays, please return the form previously sent to your child’s homeroom teacher by December 11th.  If your child will be a car rider and you do not have a car rider tag, you will need to stop by our front office to purchase one.
