6th Grade and New Student Walk-Through Information

Last Updated: 7/20/2020 5:32 PM

Creekland Middle School is extremely excited to welcome you to our school community.  In an abundance of caution, CMS will be providing specified walk-through/orientation times (chart below) for upcoming 6th graders and students who are new to Creekland Middle School.  The bulleted information (below) outlines information and protocols that will help everyone remain safe during your visit.

Meet and Greet – Thursday, July 30:

  • Park in the front parking lot (turn-in main drive).  If the front parking lot is full, please park between the bus lanes and the baseball/softball fields (turn into the parking lot at the traffic light).
  • All visitors shall enter the building at the main entrance.
  • Staff will greet you “outside” (weather permitting) and provide directions for entering the building.  Schedules will be posted through ASPEN; however, we will also provide a hard copy of your schedule upon your arrival.
  • Students will complete a “self-guided” tour of the building via scavenger hunt.
  • You may click HERE for the scavenger hunt form or access it by utilizing the QR code (below).  We will also provide hard copies of the scavenger hunt document at school if you do not have access to a portable device or printer.  CMS will not be collecting or assessing the scavenger hunt documents.
  • Scavenger Hunt QR Code -
  • Teachers will not be providing in-person information during the walk-through.  We ask that you give a friendly smile, introduce yourselves, and move to your next locations.
  • All teachers will provide a “Microsoft Teams Welcome” or “Video Welcome” on Friday, July 31 (schedule TBD).

  • The walk-through on July 30th is NOT mandatory.  Please do not come to the school if you show signs of sickness (fever, cough, Etc…).
  • No more than two parents/guardians should attend the walk-through with their student(s).
  • Creekland Middle School strongly encourages the use of masks/face coverings.
  • Please practice social distancing; keep a 6-foot space between you and staff members/other visitors.
  • Please limit “touching” of all surfaces.
  • Students and visitors will be expected to follow a “hallway traffic pattern” during the visit.  Everyone will stay to the right of their hallways, walk to the end of their hallways, loop around, and proceed to their respective destinations.  We are going to practice “not crossing” the center of hallways (like we will do once school starts).
