Creekview Zone parent Brittany Dean’s “Southern Okra Corn Salsa” won over the judges’ taste buds and made her the winner of CCSD’s 3rd Annual Parent Recipe Contest! Ms. Dean, who has children at Macedonia ES and Creekland MS, won a $100 gift card from contest sponsor Credit Union of Georgia, and her recipe has been featured on school lunch menus during October. The recipe contest, which highlights a different vegetable each year in honor of Farm to School Month, drew two dozen entries this year with its “Livin La Vida Okra” theme.
