The financial records of the Cherokee County School Board are subject to review by the Financial Review Division of the State Department of Education. The State Department of Audits and Accounts also is required to audit such accounts, and the School Board is empowered to have state and/or independent audits made on its own, in accordance with specific standards defined by law.
