Geography Bee

The Dean Rusk Middle School Geography Bee was held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.

23 students from all grade levels/teams participated in the School Bee after winning first or second place on their own teams.

Students answered questions provided by the National Geographic Bee; and competition was fierce.

Questions ranged from US cities, states, natural geography, continents, and more!

It took a written test of twenty questions and ten rounds of oral questions to determine the winner!

Congratulations to all the competitors; and a special congrats to the runner-up, Dominic Craemer, of 7th grade's Team Tsunalii, and our winner, Cash Kremer of 6th grade's Team Waleska.

Cash will take a written test next; and we'll find out in March if he qualifies for the State Bee at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville.

Good luck, Chase!
