Advanced Placement

Dr. Michael Manzella
Director, Curriculum MS/HS (6-12)

The Cherokee County School District partners with College Board to offer a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses for students in grade 9-12.  AP courses are college level courses taught by specially trained high school teachers and, as a result, are some of the most rigorous offered in the high school setting.  By taking AP courses, students further develop skills that prepare them for college success such as critical thinking and time management as well as improved study habits.  At the conclusion of each AP course, students are able to take an AP exam which, based on their score results, make them eligible to receive college credit at a variety of institutions.

Below are the AP courses offered across Cherokee County high schools.  Please note that not every course is offered at every school.  For more information please contact your local high school.
