The Instructional Extension Program (ExP) is a state-funded instructional program designed to address the students who are at risk of not reaching or maintaining academic grade level primarily in English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics, but can also address student’s weakness in science or social studies. Eligible students will receive instructional and learning opportunities to support academic success beyond their normal class time. ExP schedules vary from school to school with most elementary schools providing ExP tutoring immediately after regular school hours on specific days of the week. Middle schools and high schools often provide ExP before or after school hours and during lunchtime. Additionally, select schools provide ExP tutoring during school breaks (Fall Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, etc.). There is no charge for ExP services. Please contact your child’s school for more details on tutoring opportunities through ExP.
