Athletes of the Month

The Cherokee County School District recognizes  a CCSD Female Athlete of the Month and Male Athlete of the Month each month.  Outstanding student athletes are nominated by their high schools, and a committee selects an overall winner.  The winners receive a T-shirt sponsored by BSN, a certificate and recognition on CCSD’s athletics website and social media.

The Cherokee County School District recognizes two outstanding high school athletes each month.  Congratulations to this month’s winners: Female Athlete of the Month Zino Edet of Etowah High School for track, whose head coach is Garrett Hurlburt; and Male Athlete of the Month Sammy Erickson of Cherokee High School for baseball, whose head coach is Josh Thomas.
