Two Cherokee County School District teachers have been named 2021 Georgia STEM Scholars!

E.T. Booth Middle School teacher Daniele Deneka and Teasley Middle School teacher Scott Reece, who both teach engineering and technology Connections classes, earned the honor from the Georgia Youth Science & Technology Centers.  Each year, only about two dozen teachers from a pool of statewide nominees are recognized as STEM Scholars.

CCSD Graduation Rate Hits New High! CCSD Grad Rate 2020

The Cherokee County School District’s graduation rate has hit a new high, topping 90% for the first time in recent years with 90.3% of the Class of 2020 earning a diploma within four years of entering high school.  

The CCSD graduation rate is an increase from 86.9% achieved by the Class of 2019, according to a new report from the Georgia Department of Education released today.  All six CCSD high schools reported higher grad rates for the Class of 2020, with Creekview HS reporting the top rate of 96.2%.

What is Child Find?
The purpose of Child Find is to identify, locate, and evaluate children and youth, who are suspected of having or have a diagnosed disability or developmental delay, in order to provide free appropriate Special Education services.  The Cherokee County School District serves children from three years through 21 years of age.
