Amy Garner

2020 - 2021 Eighth Grade Last Updated: 7/29/2020 3:38 PM

My name is Amy Garner, and I am thrilled to be teaching math at ET Booth this year.  Originally from Oregon City, Oregon, I moved to Georgia at eight years old, and attended Cobb County schools through high school.  I subsequently earned a bachelor of science degree in Middle Grades Education from Kennesaw State University, and a master of arts degree in Middle Grades Mathematics Education from Piedmont College.  My entire teaching career has been focused on working with the families and students at ET Booth.  Now beginning my 20th year as an educator, all of which have been in either 7th or 8th grade math, I look forward to helping a new group of students become more confident in their math understanding and abilities.

I currently teach both the Accelerated Algebra I/Geometry A and the Honors Algebra I high school credit classes.  I love the content of these classes, and look forward to helping my students develop a greater affinity for it as well.

My husband, who also works in the district, and I have a daughter and two sons.  Our two older children have attended schools in the Etowah zone for the past 11 years, and their younger brother attends elementary school in our home zone.  We love Cherokee County Schools as parents as well!

Should a situation arise with which I can be of assistance, please contact me via email at
