Annissa Hackney

2021 - 2022 Seventh Grade Last Updated: 7/28/2021 12:11 PM

My name is Annissa Hackney and I am a 7th Grade ELA Teacher at ET Booth Middle School. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education, a Reading Endorsement, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University. I also earned my Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College.

This will be my seventh year teaching at Booth. I am the Assistant Band Director at Etowah High School. I was honored to be nominated for the Teacher of the Year at ET Booth in 2016-2017 & 2020-2021. I love all things Disney, reading, running, and spending time with friends and family.

My husband Mike, a retired Marine, is a 7th grade Math teacher here at Booth, and we have two daughters- Kate and Emma, along with a goldendoodle- Phineas. Kate is a senior at Etowah High School and Emma is a 4th grader at Bascomb Elementary School. We reside in Woodstock and are proud to be a part of the Falcon Family. I am excited about the opportunities to reach students and help make a difference in our community. “Our greatest national resource is the minds of our children.” – Walt Disney
