I am looking forward to having your child in my math class for my 26th year of teaching and 11th year at E.T. Booth Middle.
I received my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia. After teaching 4th and 5th grades in North Carolina for 3 years, I returned home to Flowery Branch and began working at Friendship Elementary in Hall County. While teaching 1st and 5th grades for 2 years, I began work on my graduate degree at North Georgia College and State University where I received a degree in Middle Grades with a concentration in Math. I then transferred to C.W. Davis Middle School where I taught 6th grade for 6 years.
After marrying, I moved to Cherokee County and began working at E.T. Booth Middle School as an 8th grade math teacher teaching for 8 years. I chose to move in a different direction and became a special education teacher teaching 6th grade. After 15 years at the middle school level, I chose to return to elementary school transferring to Holly Springs Elementary and taught in the special education department working with Kindergarteners through 5th grade students in a variety of subject areas. While working at HSES, I received my Specialists Degree from Piedmont College. With my additional degree in hand, I am honored to be able to return to Booth and continue my love of teaching math at the middle school level.
My husband and I reside right here in Cherokee with our two boys, 16 and 12 who attend Cherokee County schools. Our boys play a variety of sports and are involved in many activities that keep up busy.
I look forward to getting to know you and your student. Let’s make it a great year here at Booth!
