Kim Dye

2019 - 2020 Eighth Grade

My name is Kim Dye and I am very excited to begin my first year at ET Booth Middle School.  I was born in New York but moved to Alpharetta, Georgia when I was ten years old, so Georgia is home for me.  I graduated from Chattahoochee High School in 1999, earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Grades Education  from Georgia State University in 2004.  In 2007 I completed my Master’s Degree in Middle Grades Education at Brenau University.

I spent my first 8 ½ years teaching at Hopewell Middle School in Alpharetta, GA.  In 2012 my husband and I relocated to Nashville, TN where I have spent the last 5 years teaching at Stewarts Creek Middle School in Smyrna, TN.  In my 13 ½ years I have taught ELA at the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels, social studies in 6th and 8th grades, served as ELA department chair, sponsored the drama club, and co-directed school plays and musicals.

I am so happy to be back home in Georgia with my husband and two boys and to be starting this new chapter here at ET Booth.
