My name is Jamie Stahler and I am excited to be an E.T. Booth Falcon! I teach 6th grade ELA. I was born in Racine, WI and spent most of my childhood in Spring Hill, FL. I moved to Woodstock, GA in 1989 and attended E.T. Booth Middle School and graduated from Etowah High School. I received a Professional Sales and Marketing Degree from Kennesaw State University in 1999. I worked for IBM for over ten years and then decided to get into education. I received my Special Education teaching certificate from UGA in 2007 and began teaching at Durham Middle School in Acworth, GA. I obtained a master’s degree and specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. I also have my Gifted Endorsement. I was named Teacher of the Year at Durham Middle School in 2018-2019.
I am married to Chris Stahler, teacher at Etowah, and we have two amazing kids who attend Cherokee County schools. Samantha was born in 2007 and Daniel was born in 2009. We also have a Golden Doodle named Barley. We love to travel, and I take way too many pictures. I have a goal of our kids seeing all 50 states before they graduate. I love to read, and I encourage others to find something that interests them to read. Our family enjoys adventures and I am the researcher/planner of all the adventures. Students will hear me say this almost every day and it is a good reminder for me too, “be kind and make good choices.”
