My name is Jason Yelton and I am excited to be working as a Social Studies Teacher at ET Booth this year. In 2000, I started my teaching career at Woodstock High School and spent 3 years as a high school track and cross country coach, including one year at the Darlington School in Rome, Georgia. In the fall of 2003, I took a job as an 8th grade Social Studies at ET Booth and have focused on teaching Georgia Studies ever since. I am currently the team leader for our team, PLC coordinator for 8th grade Social Studies, Jr. Beta Club sponsor, and coordinator of the Geography Bee.
I grew up in Merced, California before moving to Woodstock in 1994, eventually graduating from Etowah High School in 1996. I graduated from Berry College in 2000 where I was a 4 time Academic All-American in Track and Cross-Country and won the "Humanities Most Outstanding" Award while earning a B.A. in History. I later received my M.Ed. in Education while serving as a grad assistant at Berry College in 2003 as well as my Ed.S. in Curriculum Development from Piedmont College in 2006.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with the students of ET Booth this year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at Jason.firstname.lastname@example.org. Go Falcons!
