My name is John Wilson and I am the Georgia Studies teacher and team manager for 8B. I also serve as the 8th Grade Liaison. This is my 16th year at E.T. Booth Middle School, during which time I have taught seventh and eighth grade reading and social studies. I am currently a co-coordinator for the E.T. Booth Veterans Day Presentation. I have in the past been a member of numerous committees and teams, including Data Management, Principal’s Leadership Team, Technology Committee, Probation Coach, AdvancED reaccreditation team (data analysis and teacher interview), and eighth grade reading liaison.
I grew up in Galveston, Texas (Hook ‘em Horns!) but moved to Smyrna when I was 15. After graduating from Campbell High School, I joined the United States Marine Corps and served six years on active duty and another two years in the reserves. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education and I received my M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Berry College in 2019.
I am looking forward to another incredible year at E.T. Booth!
