My name is June Mann, and this year is my 28th year of teaching. I attended Elon University and received my bachelor’s degree in education. I later earned a master’s in education from the University of Alabama, (Roll Tide!). In addition to teaching English/Language Arts, I am also certified in gifted education and social studies. I taught fifth grade for 23 years, middle school social studies for two years, and this is my third year teaching reading at Booth. I am thrilled to be a member of the Cumberland Island team!
I have four daughters who attended schools in Cherokee County. I enjoy traveling with my husband. We have visited 48 of the 50 states! I also love reading, and various crafts. In what little spare time I have I show, and occasionally breed, standard long-haired dachshunds.
