2020 - 2021 Connections Last Updated: 7/29/2020 3:31 PM

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in 7th grade! I grew up in Michigan and moved to Georgia soon after graduating from high school.  After graduating from Kennesaw State University in 2001, I started my teaching career as a 7th grade reading teacher at E.T. Booth.  In 2004 I earned a master's degree in Adolescent English Education.  I was the E.T. Booth Teacher of the Year for 2005 - 2006.  I also served as the reading department chair for several years.  I have always had a passion for nutrition and cooking, so in 2014 I earned my certification in Family and Consumer Science and began teaching this very important life skills class.  I'm currently the department chair for connections.  I'm also working on a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I live in Towne Lake and have two children who attend Bascomb Elementary.
