Hello! I’m so excited to discover new things with all my extraordinary students, parents, teachers, and staff at E.T. Booth. This year will be the 28th anniversary of my teaching journey, and my 8th year teaching self-contained classes. I’m looking for teachable moments everywhere. I believe that any challenge, obstacle, and circumstance is an opportunity to inspire curiosity and creativity. I particularly enjoy the familial bonds forged with my students over the few years I have with them.
I’ve been married to my husband, John, for 27 years now. We have three amazing, grown-up children who teach me just as much as I teach others. Kate is a teacher at Woodstock High School, Madi works at a history museum in Baltimore, and Nick designs and builds props for the film industry. We have our fur babies too: our Old-English sheepdogs Ellie and Henry, and the king of the house, our Shih Tzu mix Murphy. I’m a raging fan of all things LSU, cannot function without my daily Starbucks or Smoothie King, and always have a blast when spending time with the people I love: camping, crawfish boils, late-night target runs, you name it.
I appreciate the support and cooperation I receive from my learning family here at ETB. Please reach out if you'd like to chat (or want to see pictures of my fur babies!).
