Hello, my name is Samuel Baillie and I am originally from the Midwest, relocating to Georgia in 2007. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Nebraska and additional credentials to become a classroom teacher from Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Florida in 2006. I taught in Cobb County for 8 years before moving my teaching career to Cherokee County where I have lived since I moved to Georgia. While working in Cobb County, I earned my Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University. In 2016, I enrolled at KSU a second time, earning a Specialist’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in May of 2018. I am currently enrolled at KSU once again, working towards my doctorate in Teacher Leadership.
Other than teaching, I enjoy playing computer games and listening to music. I also enjoy performing on the violin, which I have been playing since I was four years old. Although classically trained, I really enjoy playing folk styles, such as Bluegrass and Celtic fiddle as well as jazz and even some rock. While I enjoy music, what I enjoy the most is helping young people succeed in life. This is why I love teaching Study Skills!
