Boys Bible Study - Coming January 2021
The Boy’s Bible study will be held on Tuesday mornings beginning at 8:15 and ending at 8:45 in room 617. All boys from 6th to 8th grade are invited to join us as we glorify God through prayer, fellowship, and gaining a deeper understanding of the Bible.

Broadcasting and Video Club - Coming January 2021
The FMS Drama, Broadcasting and Video Club is limited with participation for 20-21. Members have been selected from the 8th-grade class. We are going to have a lot of fun this year acting in and creating videos that will be played on the FMS News! Come to practice your acting skills, writing skills, or help with the filming and editing and we will all join together in the creative process. Tuesdays will focus on writing the sketches and announcements, and Thursdays will focus on acting, broadcasting, and filming. And, of course, we’ll have various, spontaneous times to create special videos.

Chess Club - Coming January 2021
The Freedom Middle School Chess Club is a great place to learn the fundamentals of chess by actively participating in the club. The club offers a congenial yet competitive environment that fosters personal growth. A tournament will also take place during the second semester. The Chess Club will be meeting throughout this school year on November 18th, December 2nd, December 16th, January 6th, January 20th, February 3rd, March 3rd, March 17th. The club will meet from 4:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We will dismiss promptly at 5:00 p.m. and your child should be picked up directly in front of the school at that time. Please sign and return the permission and rules form to room 615. This will indicate your understanding of the club goals, and that you are also giving permission for your child to stay for the meetings during this school year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Craft Club - Coming January 2021
Craft Club will officially meet one day a month in the mornings from 8am-8:50. We may need to meet the following day to complete our craft. Crafts we may do but are not limited to are: friendship bracelets, keychains, stress balls, etc... Crafting allows for an environment of sharing, helpfulness, and freedom to express creativity.

First Priority - Coming January 2021
A Christian club that meets weekly under the guidance of local youth pastors. The students help plan and carry out the meeting. The purpose of First Priority is to build leadership qualities and encourage Christian believers. The club also provides a place where students of like beliefs can meet. Meetings are held every Thursday morning in Ms. Lingerfelt's room 214 between 8:15 - 8:50 am.

4-H Club - Coming January 2021
All 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students enrolled in Freedom Middle School will have an opportunity to join the 4-H club in Cherokee County. 4‑H is delivered by Cherokee County Cooperative Extension—a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provides experiences where young people learn by doing. Students complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture, and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Students experience 4‑H in every county —through in-school, after-school programs, 4-H camps, school and community clubs.

Girls Bible Study - First Meeting February 2, 2021!
Girls Bible Study is a club where middle school girls can pray, grow in their knowledge of the Bible, and learn how to be an encouragement to others around them. The group meets each Tuesday at 8:00 in room 501. All FMS girls are welcome to attend.

Junior Beta Club - Coming Soon!
The Junior Beta Club recognizes academic excellence, encourages leadership, and promotes citizenship among members who qualify for the honor. Students must be invited to join, have all A's, and maintain a 90+ average. Junior Beta Club meets one afternoon a month and may meet more often to perform monthly service projects. Planned student activities include the following: school clean-up days, collections of can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, Teacher Appreciation Day project, and Christmas shoeboxes.

Patriot Pet Club - Coming January 2021
The Patriot Pet Club meets once a month to discuss animals, their care, and professions in the pet industry. We work with the Cherokee Animal Shelter and the Homeless Pets Club to help get pets adopted, and raising funds to provide needed supplies for the shelter. We also help promote proper pet care and vaccinations.

Tome Literary Society
Students participate in a variety of literary activities based on ten fiction books selected by the Tome Society. Activities include competing in a reading bowl competition, participating in book talks, writing fan fiction, creating fan art, writing poetry designing promotional flyers, and filming book trailers.

The Yearbook Club will allow students to take pictures for the yearbook at various functions. Students will meet periodically to decide which pictures should be included in the yearbook and to help with the design. Additional meetings will be necessary for the spring when the yearbook deadlines approach.
