Sequoyah High School Principal Mr. Robert Van Alstyne is meeting with all middle and elementary feeder schools and building relationships throughout the Sequoyah Innovation Zone. Along with student leaders, he is sharing his vision for goal setting and a focus on earning a high school diploma. This week, he met with Indian Knoll fifth graders who are the class of 2026 and recognized four students for their outstanding character and academic achievements. Anjali Gavalas, Riley O’Neil, Lila Jacobs and Asher Bennett were given “honor” stoles to inspire them to continue to dream big. These boys and girls also received a $10.00 coupon to be used at the SHS concession stand. All IKES 5th graders and teachers received a SHS yellow spirit towel which reads, “One Goal, One Passion, One Purpose”. In addition, the towel is a free ticket in the door for the basketball games taking place this weekend. To conclude the program, the 5th grade students all signed a banner and a pledged to graduate in 2026. The message was clear and we are all excited to unify our Chief Nation in the Sequoyah Innovation Zone. #CCSDfam #ChiefNation Cherokee County GA School District
