8/29/25 Relocation of Oak Grove Operations to Clark Creek

UPDATE 4:15 p.m.: An electrical equipment malfunction on the roof of the cafeteria caused smoke to enter the building.  A remediation firm and district staff continue to clean the building, and we anticipate a full return to normal operations on Tuesday, September 2. 
 

Due to the ongoing investigation by Cherokee County Fire Department into smoke in the Oak Grove ES STEAM Academy cafeteria, we have moved all Oak Grove students and staff to Clark Creek Elementary School STEM Academy. We’re grateful to our community’s first-responders, our teachers, support staff and administrators and our bus drivers who made this relocation a success. Parents at both schools received direct notifications this morning, and we will provide updates to parents by email. #SafeCherokee
