CCSD Begins Kindergarten, New Student Registration for 2026-27 School Year

CCSD Begins Kindergarten, New Student Registration for 2026-27 School Year

Cherokee County School District kindergarten and new student registration opens online Sunday, March 1, for the 2026-27 school year.  We can’t wait to welcome your children to learn more, grow more, and achieve more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else!

Parents of any student who will be new to CCSD for the 2026-27 school year can enter information and upload documents to complete the simple registration process online.  Parents are asked to complete this process by May to ensure as smooth an enrollment as possible.  Parents whose children already are enrolled in CCSD in grades K-12 do not need to complete this process.

To use the registration system, parents can set up a CCSD ParentVUE account at https://tinyurl.com/RegisterCCSD; you can complete the process using a laptop, tablet or smartphone.  You will need to have your own email address to use the system.  If you already have a CCSD ParentVUE account for a current CCSD student, you can use the same account to enroll additional children.

You will need to have emergency contact information and specific records ready to complete the process; you can see a detailed list and more guidance at https://tinyurl.com/RegisterCCSDInfo.  If you do not have all the required records on hand, you can start the online registration process, save your progress and then complete it when you have the remaining records.  If you need assistance with registration, please contact the front office of the school your child will attend; a directory is online here: https://www.cherokeek12.net/schools

Once parents complete the online registration, they will receive an automated email notifying them their process is complete.  After the school reviews the provided information and documentation, its staff will send a follow up email to let the parent know if any additional documents are needed.  Parents also can log into the registration system any time after completing their child’s enrollment to check the status of their student’s application by clicking on the Status tab at the top of the page.

The school also will notify parents of new kindergarteners about when they can come in for a readiness assessment.  The school will notify parents of all new students about open house/meet and greet events, which are held in late July.

Children who are turning 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2026 may be enrolled in kindergarten in Georgia; children who are turning 6 on or before Sept. 1, 2026 are enrolled in first grade.  A school-based placement committee, which includes the child’s parents, will review requests for a child who will turn 6 on or before Sept. 1, 2026 to instead attend kindergarten.
