CCSD Congratulates Winners of Elementary School Academic Bowl

The Cherokee County School District congratulates the winners of its annual Elementary School Academic Bowl!

Organized by CCSD’s Office of Curriculum & Instruction, the event held this month at Dean Rusk Middle School offered teams the opportunity to demonstrate their academic knowledge through competition. 

Indian Knoll Elementary School was named the winner, and Sixes Elementary School the runner-up.  The other two semi-finalist teams were Clayton Elementary School and Little River Elementary School.

Indian Knoll ES team members are Captain Easton Smith and Austin Beavers, Ethan Chambley, Malachi Holt, Lucas Pagano, James Rabel, Jeremiah Reiner, Carter Smith and Grayson Smith, and coaches are AIM teachers Tara Costello and Allison Eubanks.

Sixes ES team members are Josie Bice, Graham Devaney, Arley Eison, Jack Ford, Maddox Gourley, Hailey Holton, Jackson King, Jack Kriz, Giana Ross and Eliot Smith, and coaches are fourth-grade teachers Belinda Callahan and Ashley Wolfe.

“Congratulations to all of our winners – we’re proud of you for your dedication to learning and for showing off the knowledge you’ve mastered,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said. “Thank you to their coaches and to our curriculum staff for organizing this opportunity.”
