CCSD Hosting Community Forum on School Safety Oct. 8
The Cherokee County School District will host a community forum on the topic of safety and security from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the School Board auditorium (1205 Bluffs Parkway, Canton 30114). Superintendent of Schools Mary Elizabeth Davis, Police Chief Buster Cushing and staff, and Chief School Leadership and Operations Officer Dr. Debra Murdock and staff will report on information on current school safety and security practices. Cherokee Sheriff Frank Reynolds also will participate in the panel discussion. The panel presentation will be followed by discussion groups for attendees to share recommendations on how we continue to improve our safety and security practices across schools in CCSD. The panel presentation will be recorded and posted on our website.
