CCSD Recognizes Three Athletes of the Month
The Cherokee County School District is continuing a new monthly recognition for outstanding high school athletes.
This school year, CCSD kicked off recognizing a Female Athlete of the Month and Male Athlete of the Month.
Congratulations to this month’s winners, all honored for wrestling: Ariel Maicon of Creekview High School, whose head coach is Ross Cravens; and a tie for the male honor between Jackson Locke of Creekview HS, whose head coach is Ross Cravens, and Tyler Herring of Woodstock High School, whose head coach is Kenneth Kretschmar. All three earned 5A State Champion titles this season!
Congratulations to the honorees and their coaches and thank you to our School Board for its continued investment in student athletics!
Outstanding student athletes are nominated by their high schools, and a committee selects an overall winner. The winners receive a T-shirt sponsored by BSN, a certificate and recognition on CCSD’s athletics website and social media.
