CCSD Student Places in Statewide Art Contest

A Cherokee County School District student has placed in a statewide art contest!

Grace Dai

Cherokee High School senior Grace Dai earned second place in the Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites Art Contest.  Her entry, “The Fall of the House of Chief Vann,” will be displayed at the Georgia State Capitol during the 2026 legislative session.  Congratulations to Grace and her art teacher Morgan Clifton and thank you to our School Board for its laser focus on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else!

Grace’s artistic excellence previously has been honored with accolades including her selection for the Governor’s Honors Program for Visual Arts and inclusion of her artwork in the Atlanta High School Art Exhibit.  She also is a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist in recognition of her academic excellence.
