CCSD Students Selected for 2024-25 All-State Theatre Program

CCSD Students Selected for 2024-25 All-State Theatre Program

Four Cherokee County School District students have been selected for the competitive All-State Theatre Program.

Cherokee High School seniors Kayleigh Coda and Samantha Geer and Sequoyah High School seniors Noah Popp and Ava Grace Roberts will participate in this year’s prestigious program.  It culminates with performances at the 2025 Georgia Thespian Conference, which is attended by high school theatre students and educators statewide.

Kayleigh, Samantha and Ava all successfully auditioned for the cast of the conference’s opening and closing performances; this is the second consecutive year for Ava to be selected.  Noah, through a competitive application process, was chosen for a second consecutive year to design and operate the event’s lighting systems.  Their theatre program directors are Dr. Jodi Burn at Cherokee HS and Cindy Humphlett at Sequoyah HS.

Between now and the February conference in Columbus, the cast and crew will prepare for their roles and participate in rehearsals.  The Cherokee County School Board and Superintendent of Schools Mary Elizabeth Davis will recognize the students and their teachers at an upcoming School Board meeting.
