Cherokee HS Earns National Career Education Award
One of our career education programs has earned national recognition!
The Cherokee High School chapter of the FFA agricultural education program has been named a 2026 3 Star Chapter, the highest honor awarded by the National FFA Organization. Less than 10% of chapters nationwide achieve this honor, which recognizes demonstrated success in growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening the local agriculture industry. We're on a mission to be the highest-performing school district in Georgia where students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else!
The chapter student officers who earned this honor are: Della-Grace Rivers, KayLynn Carpenter, Emma Hyde, Elizabeth Carter, Jesse Pruitt, Lindsay Rubio-Garcia. Career Pathway agriculture teacher Dr. Lindsey Garner serves as the chapter sponsor. The chapter will be recognized at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo in October.
FFA is a Career Pathway co-curricular program with additional learning opportunities for students after school and on weekends, including leadership and competition experiences.
