Congratulations to Our 2026 Summer Graduates!

"You are not just sitting here as students who completed coursework.  You are sitting here as graduates who proved something important about yourselves.  You proved that when things become difficult, you had the strength and determination to finish."

Summer School Administrator Adam Johnson congratulated CCSD's summer graduates tonight as 15 members of the class celebrated with a commencement ceremony, attended by friends, family and members of the School Board and CCSD leadership team.  

Students entered the auditorium to “Pomp and Circumstance” while wearing their high school’s graduation caps and gowns, listened to inspirational remarks from Mr. Johnson, and then were congratulated by School Board Chair Janet Read Welch, Vice Chair Patsy Jordan and School Board member Kelly Poole, along with Superintendent Mary Elizabeth Davis and Chief School Leadership and Operations Officer Dr. Debra Murdock as Mr. Johnson handed out their diplomas.
