School Board Members Tour Creekland MS/Creekview HS Additions

Cherokee County School Board members today got a peek inside the classroom additions at Creekland MS and Creekview HS that are ready for the first day of school! 

School Board Chair Janet Read Welch, Vice Chair Patsy Jordan and board members Kelly Poole and Dr. Susan Padgett-Harrison were guided on the tour by members of the district’s Support Services team.  They were joined on the tour by Superintendent of Schools Mary Elizabeth Davis and members of senior staff.  Thank you to everyone involved in the construction, thank you to our School Board for its support of our schools, and thank you to the voters who approved the 1% Education SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) that funded the construction.

The additions include 20 classrooms at Creekland MS and 16 classrooms at Creekview HS, including larger lab classrooms for Career Technical and Agricultural Education programs.  Construction of a second gym at Creekview HS will be completed later this fall at the same time the renovation of an existing hall will be completed.
