Superintendent’s New High School Student Advisory Board Meets

The Cherokee County School District Superintendent’s newly established High School Student Advisory Board met today for its first meeting of the school year!  During the listening session, students shared with Superintendent Mary Elizabeth Davis what they love about their school and how CCSD could make their school even better.  Students’ valued insights are essential in our mission to be the highest performing school district in Georgia!

The board is made up of ninth-graders who last school year served as their middle school’s eighth-grade representative on the Superintendent’s Middle School Student Advisory Board, plus a representative from i-Grad Virtual Academy.  The members are: of Cherokee High School, Lorelai Bird; of Creekview HS, Lillie Jape; of Etowah HS, Zoe Holland; of i-Grad, Amelia Mitchell; of River Ridge HS, Isabella Waters; of Sequoyah HS, Isaac Herrera; of Woodstock HS, Logan Kettle, and Riley Stumbo.

The new high school board, and the continuing elementary and middle school boards, complement the longtime Student Delegates to the School Board program for high school senior student leaders. #CCSDElevatetheExcellence
