Smiles Rock Garden at Ralph Bunche Center

The Ralph Bunche Center in Canton, a CCSD Preschool Center, celebrated an exceptional school partner this week.

The Christian Egner Foundation, named for a student who passed away, raises funds to benefit the Center and other programs in the community that serve special needs children. The Foundation on Thursday celebrated its Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting, and the preschool hosted the ceremony at its playground. The ceremony included special singing by students and guests.

The Foundation has made donations to the Center that have funded playground equipment, a tricycle track, and literacy programs, among other giving. As part of Thursday's celebration, the Center added another feature to the playground: a smiles rock garden, with rocks hand-painted by students.
