Announcements for April 29th

Posted On: Thursday, April 29, 2021

The River Ridge High School community would like to congratulate Jadyn Depaolo as being selected as the new Unit Commander for the JROTC program for the upcoming school year.

This past Friday the Varsity Gymnastics Team competed in the State preliminaries up against the top level gymnasts in the state schools.  Bella Caputo and Peyton Hamrick (both level 8 gymnasts) scored low nines on the bars and vault against tough competition. They were grouped with level 10 gymnasts – the top level. The Top 8 gymnastics of each event went to State with scores near 10.

Bella and Peyton both competed in All Around and Riley Schoper competed in Vault. Congratulations girls on a great season!

We are looking towards a summer of growing as gymnasts and as a team. If you are interested in joining the school’s gymnastics team please stop by room 2205 – Mrs. Wilmert is the head coach. Interest meeting will be held on Monday May 10th. Please keep an ear and eye out for more details.Great things are happening in the coming months for those who dream of seeing the world!  In Spring 2022, Knights will be traveling to visit the incredible historical sites and magical cities of Berlin, Prague, and Budapest.  Enrollment will still be open for a short time, and EF is offering a $200 enrollment discount for those who sign up by April 30th!

In addition, we have set our trip for 2023 to Spain and Portugal!  While it seems far away, the sooner you enroll, the more affordable it is to embark on this amazing trip.  We will be holding an informational meeting via Microsoft Teams on May 4th  at 7 PM.  To RSVP for the meeting and to learn more about this great opportunity, just scan the QR code with the posters hanging throughout the school.

If you have any questions or would like more information on either trip, please see Mrs. Bulger in room 1116.  Brochures for the Spain and Portugal trip are available.

Color Guard will be hosting an open clinic today for anyone interested and auditions will be May 3rd, 4th, and 5th.  Both the auditions and clinic will be in the gym from 4:15-7:00.

Attention students: The Diversity Awareness Program is having a Culture Fair on May 13th during lunches. If you are interested in representing your culture at our event, please sign up using the QR Code outside of 1104 or 1112 (Mrs. Bass & Mrs. Nelson’s rooms). We would love to have you join us!
