Have you ever wanted to learn to code, but couldn’t decide where to start? Our engineering club, the technology student association, is going to begin a coding clinic in order to provide coding lessons to anyone who would like learn! Later on in the year, those who’ve participated can compete at the state competitions and join smaller contests for prizes! There will be an interest meeting tomorrow, Tuesday the 27th, so make sure to check it out in room 1308 at 3:20 if you are interested!” Rides should be here at 4:00
Congratulations to the River Ridge Air Force ROTC Raider Team! "Raider" is a very popular athletic competition held within JROTC programs around the United States and is the equivalent of the Army ROTC "Ranger" competition in college.
This past weekend, our River Ridge Raiders competed in their second competition against 14 teams and 350 competitors placing 2nd overall!
In addition to the second-place overall finish, they took home two 1st, two 2nd, and one 3rd place finish in individual competition.
The team, led by Andre-Chon Perez and Nicole Catino, will continue to compete all the way to Nationals on November 6th in Molena, Georgia. The rest of the team is rounded out by Peyton Daniel, Kendrick DeCastro, Jay Depalo, Will Reeves, Alyssa Rivera, Hunter Daniel, Trenton Elario, Wiley Goins, Bree Bailey, and Richard Garcia. The next competition is on October 16th in Hiram, GA wish them luck!
