Announcements for January 13th

Wrestling finished 4th at Region this weekend after dropping a close one to Harrison. The team picked up wins over South Cobb and Allatoona. 

All boys interested in trying out for tennis. Tryouts will begin on Tuesday at the River Ridge Tennis Courts. You must have an updated physical/ insurance packet from the Athletic Office turned in to be able to tryout. See Coach Smith for questions.

Interested in photography, art, and design? Passionate about working as a team on an awesome project? Do you like food and celebrations? Have fun…. Get creative…. Join yearbook!  See Mrs. Cleveland in room 1118 to pick up an application for next year’s staff.

Tryouts for anyone wishing to participate in Girls Lacrosse will be held on Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd from 3:30 – 5:15 in the Stadium. In order to be eligible to tryout you must have a Green Physical Packet filled out in its entirety on file in the Athletic Office. Packets can be picked up in the main office or in Room 2302. No Physical means no tryout. If you have any questions, please see Coach Phillips.

All girls interested in playing out for River Ridge Soccer, tryouts will begin today at 3:45 on the practice field and end at 6:00.  Please make sure you bring a completed physical or have one on file at the athletic office!

Calling all girls and boys! Are you interested in sports and/or the medical field? Are you wanting to know more about Sports Medicine? You will have the opportunity to work with spring sports. Find out more Tuesday directly after school for a meeting with Chelsey Beckham. Meet in the athletic training room in the gym.

D A P – Diversity Awareness Program will meet Thursday.  We look forward to seeing you!

All boys and girls interested in playing golf, there will be a meeting Tuesday morning at 7:45 in room 1208. See Coach Farist with any questions.

January 17th is the deadline for submission of Exceptional Children's Week Art Competition.  Winning entry will be used to create all marketing materials including a T-Shirt design!  Great opportunity for an art portfolio.

PTSA Stars and Strikes Lock-In.  $35/student.  RRHS PTSA is excited to invite all students 8th through 12th grade to the 2nd Annual River Ridge High School PTSA Lock-In at Stars and Strikes from 11:45 pm Sunday, 1/19 to 6am Monday, 1/20 (yes Monday is a holiday). We are expecting a great turnout, last year we had 250 students!  Includes UNLIMITED Bowling, Laser Tag, Bumper Cars, and Arcade. Pizza will be served (2 slices each) with unlimited Drinks. You will need cash for concessions, which will be open all night with popcorn, pretzels, cotton candy, etc. No outside food or drink permitted. 

Anyone interested in auditioning for the Spring Comedy "THE ELECTION" should attend a meeting today in the theater from 3:20-3:30. This meeting will contain info for the cast and crew who plan to be a part of the show.
