February is Black History Month and today we would like to recognize Muhammad Ali. At 22 years old Ali became the youngest boxer to take the title for heavyweight champion. Ali was stripped of his titles and put in jail when he refused to be drafted into the US Army to fight in the Vietnam War. After being reinstated, he continued to box and win titles. He is still considered the greatest boxer of the 20th century. When he retired, he traveled the world, gave speeches, and advocated for human rights through his charity work. In 2001 he received Presidential Citizens Medal from Bill Clinton.

February is Career Technical Education Month! Career and technical education (CTAE) are classes that teach specific career skills to students. Career Tech is split into 16 career clusters that apply to different high-demand careers. Here is a fact each day for why you should consider pursuing a career tech pathway: 78% of CTAE concentrators enroll in postsecondary education full-time immediately after graduating.
